The Magoffin County Extension Service offers many different cultural enrichment activities for the community such as: 4-H Sewing Club, Reality Store and the Agriculture Development Council. With the slogan of "We grow ideas," the Extension Service strives to improve the lives of Magoffin County residents by "delivering educational programs in agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer science, 4-H/youth development, and community and economic development."

The Magoffin County Senior Citizen's Center offers a wide variety of services for the elderly of the area. From "Meals on Wheels" for the homebound to hot lunches every afternoon, the center ensures that the physical and social needs of the elderly are met. The Magoffin County Recycling Center offers residents a place to take their recyclables. Some of the items they accept are paper, cardboard, magazines, plastics (1-5), and aluminum cans. Businesses who need their recyclables picked up may call the main office at (606) 349-6336 or the Magoffin County Judge at (606)349-2313 to schedule a pick up. Residents can also drop their recyclables off at any of the fire departments located throughout the county. Help keep Magoffin County green by recycling.
